Seachem De-Nitrate

Introduction

Seachem De-Nitrate is a specialized filtration media designed to reduce nitrates (NO₃) in both freshwater and saltwater aquariums. Elevated nitrate levels can lead to algae blooms, poor water quality, and stress on fish and other aquatic organisms. De-Nitrate’s unique high-surface-area matrix promotes anaerobic bacteria growth, which converts nitrate into harmless nitrogen gas, effectively lowering nitrate concentrations and maintaining a healthy aquarium environment.

Usage

• Water Flow: Ensure slow water flow through the media to maximize contact time and denitrification efficiency.

• Replacement: Monitor nitrate levels; add or replace media if nitrates rise or the media has been in use for several months.

• 250 mL: Small to medium tanks or trial use.

• 500 mL: Standard size for moderate aquariums.
