Fritz RPM Calcium Buffer System Pt 2 – Calcium is a concentrated liquid supplement formulated to support the calcium demands of reef and marine aquariums. As a key component of the Fritz RPM 3-Part System, this product helps maintain optimal calcium levels—essential for the growth and skeletal development of corals and invertebrates. Used in conjunction with Pt 1 Alkalinity and Pt 3 Magnesium, it ensures a balanced and stable reef environment, promoting vibrant coral coloration and long-term health.
Supports Coral Growth – Supplies bioavailable calcium to promote the development of strong coral skeletons and healthy invertebrates.
Part of a Complete Buffer System – Designed to work synergistically with Fritz RPM Pt 1 (Alkalinity) and Pt 3 (Magnesium) to maintain key parameters in balance.
Concentrated, Fast-Dissolving Formula – Ensures efficient calcium supplementation without clouding or adverse effects.
Prevents Calcium Deficiency – Helps avoid instability in calcium levels that can hinder coral health and tank balance.
Reef-Safe – Suitable for all marine aquariums, including systems housing sensitive corals and invertebrates.
Adjustment Dosage:
Shake well before use.
Test calcium levels before dosing.
1 mL raises calcium by 15 ppm per 1 US gallon (3.78 L).
5 mL (1 tsp) raises calcium by 7 ppm per 10 gallons.
Do not exceed 10 mL per 10 gallons per day.
Routine Dosing:
Ensure alkalinity is adjusted to 8–11 dKH before starting routine dosing.
Begin with 5 mL (1 tsp) of Pt 1 and Pt 2 per 20 gallons of water daily.
Maintain calcium levels between 400–450 ppm by testing and adjusting as needed.
Increase dosage if calcification demand is high (e.g., in SPS-heavy tanks).
Best Practices:
Dose into a sump or high-flow area to ensure even distribution.
Use reliable calcium test kits for accuracy.
Cloudiness is normal—wait for it to clear before adding other components.
Safe for all marine livestock, including invertebrates.
4 oz, 8 oz, and 16 oz bottles use a 5 mL cap; 32 oz bottle cap = 10 mL.
Important Note:
If magnesium levels are too low, calcium and alkalinity may precipitate as calcium carbonate. Always ensure magnesium is in range (1250–1350 ppm) before adjusting calcium or alkalinity. Use Fritz RPM Pt 3 – Magnesium to correct magnesium levels first.
473 mL / 16 oz
For best results, use Fritz RPM Calcium Pt 2 as part of the complete Fritz RPM system, including Pt 1 Alkalinity and Pt 3 Magnesium. Consistent supplementation and water testing are vital to achieving a healthy, thriving reef tank. Balance between calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium ensures optimal coral growth, coloration, and long-term system stability.
