Directions & Dosage

• Dosage:

  • 5 mL (1 tsp) per 4 U.S. gallons (15 L)

  • 8 oz (1 cup) per 190 U.S. gallons (337.5 L)

  • Maintains copper levels around 2.0 ppm

• Treatment Duration: Varies by infection; no redosing needed for up to one month.

• Best Use: Apply in quarantine or hospital tanks for maximum safety.

• During Treatment:

  • Remove ion-exchange resins and heavy metal adsorbing filter pads.

  • Discontinue protein skimmers.

  • Carbon filters can remain in use.

  • UV sterilizers may be used.

Cautions

• Use cautiously with scaleless or copper-sensitive fish species.

• Not safe for invertebrates (corals, snails, shrimp, clams, crustaceans, mollusks); remove these before treatment.

• May be harmful to aquatic plants and amphibians.

Additional Notes

• Compatible with most other aquarium medications, including ACCR and Complete.

• Bottle caps measure approximately 5 mL for easy dosing.

• Single dose achieves therapeutic copper levels (1.5-2.0 ppm); avoid overdosing by testing copper levels after partial dosing.

• Treat replacement water with Coppersafe to maintain copper levels during water changes.

• In case of overdose, perform large water changes and monitor copper levels with a reliable test kit.

• Post-treatment, remove copper from the aquarium with water changes or copper-absorbing resins.
