Aquaforest Iodum

Iodum is a concentrated iodine supplement essential for marine aquariums. Iodine plays a vital role in overall cell function and nutrient transfer. Since aquarium inhabitants continuously consume iodine, levels can drop rapidly without regular supplementation.

In corals, iodine is necessary for pigment synthesis, helping them adapt to varying light conditions and protecting delicate tissues from UV damage. It also enhances the deep blue and purple coloration of hard corals. Proper iodine levels support healthy shrimp molting and maintain seawater conditions similar to natural environments. Regular use of Iodum ensures stable iodine levels in your tank.

Dosage:

• 10 ml raises iodine by 0.1 mg/L (ppm) in 100 liters (27 US gal) of water.

• Recommended iodine range: 0.055–0.07 mg/L (ppm).

• Maximum safe daily dose: 2 ml per 100 liters; for higher doses, divide over multiple days.

• Standard dosage: 1 ml per 100 liters (27 US gal) daily.
