Introduction

Aquaforest Bio Sand Bag is a specialised marine aquarium substrate designed to provide a natural white sand base while supporting the biological maturation of marine and reef aquariums. Made from calcium carbonate and supplied with laboratory-isolated nitrifying bacteria and bacterial nourishment, it helps accelerate aquarium maturation and supports the development of beneficial biological activity.

Usage Guidelines

• Rinse the sand with RODI water before use if recommended to reduce initial dust and cloudiness.

• Pour the contents of the supplied bacterial bottles into approximately 3 litres of saltwater and mix thoroughly.

• Add the prepared bacterial solution to the sand and leave the bag open for approximately 24 hours to support bacterial multiplication.

• Maintain a suitable temperature of approximately 25–28°C (77–82°F) during the maturation process.

• Introduce the sand into the aquarium according to the manufacturer's recommendations.

• For established aquariums, add the sand gradually in small amounts while monitoring water parameters and livestock response.

• Maintain appropriate filtration, circulation, and regular aquarium testing during aquarium maturation.
